We don't ask who you are.
Reading a BrightShield Conversation, making your choices and exploring the different perspectives does not send anything to BrightShield. Those choices stay in your browser and disappear when you leave the page.
Using Conversation MAIT
Conversation MAIT is optional. It is the small guided companion offered at the end of a Conversation. No login is required, and it is session-based — nothing is saved to an account.
When you choose to use Conversation MAIT, the Conversation you've just completed and anything you choose to type are used to generate a response during your current session.
Conversation MAIT is designed to support reflection, not make decisions. It has no access to your organisation or private documents.
Conversation MAIT does not give case advice, review policies or offer legal or professional advice. If something you write describes a real safeguarding concern, please follow your organisation’s safeguarding procedure and speak to the appropriate safeguarding lead.
Cookies and analytics
We don’t set marketing cookies. We don’t run third-party advertising trackers. If we ever change how we measure website usage, or introduce analytics to help us understand whether the site is useful, we’ll explain those changes clearly here before they happen.
To keep Conversation MAIT available and prevent obvious abuse, our server briefly records a one-way, non-reversible fingerprint of the network address making each request, together with a short-lived counter. This is used only to pace requests fairly and is discarded automatically within the hour.

When organisations choose BrightShield Learning or the BrightShield Hub, they'll always understand what information is being used, why it is needed and how it is protected.

We believe trust is earned. We believe organisations should understand what information is collected and why. We will never deliberately hide changes to how information is handled. If our approach changes in future, we’ll explain it here in plain English.

BrightShield will never sell personal information or use it for advertising.
