Safeguarding Conversation
It’s just sideline passion
Sport can bring out commitment, pride and strong feelings. Most clubs depend on that energy. Parents give lifts, wash kit, help with raffles, stand in the rain and encourage children who might otherwise not get the chance to play. In junior sport, the line between encouragement, pressure and performance can become blurred very quietly. Sometimes the atmosphere around young people changes before anyone has done something clearly wrong. This Conversation is about that earlier moment.
Take it at your own pace. There is no score here.
